DesignLab @ Fierarredo
The DesignLab moves to the Interior Decorating Fair
Bologna, 14 February 2009
During the 2009 edition of FIERARREDO, the innovative space of Pavilion 16 of the BolognaFiera will be home to the expositions of some of the most prestigious and largest interior-decorating firms that will show off a new way of living. An occasion not to miss, an event within an event, the basic themes of such new modes of living will be expounded upon through conversations and workshops coordinated by the Design Center Bologna.
The workshop, organized from the 14th to the 22nd of February, 2009 for the Bologna Fair, has the objective to develop innovative concept proposals for the exhibitors of the fair relative to the themes of communication and in preparation for sale, in the sectors of furniture, furniture for the house and complete furniture. The Design Lab will be therefore a generator of ideas but also a point of interest for all the different types of users (professionals, businesses, etc.) to reflect upon the attitudes of purchases and on the new modes of communication. The workshop is developed through the help of the Graphic Design students of the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts, coordinated by Emanuela Seghetta, owner of the Oleostudio, which does the decoration and interior planning for private and commercial spaces (projects created for the Orea Malià, New Age, Quadreria).
Taking part in the DesignLab: CarloBranzaglia (Director of the Design Center Bologna), Luca Capasso (Owner of Taurus restoration) and Egidio Lomi (architect, Professor at the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts)
The name of the project, DesignLab@FIERARREDO, recalls the experience at the center of the Ma®ca exposition which was dedicated to the commercial brand. From the 14th to the 22nd of February, the duration of the fair, the DesignLab will develop concept proposals for the exhibitors relative to the theme of communication and in preparation for sales.

The initiative was planned in collaboration with the exhibitors of FIERARREDO ’09 and created according to the organization of the respective commercial enterprises: one space will be dedicated to furniture in a progressive style, furniture from the past, furniture of emotion and to furniture of taste; every space will exhibit four proposals for a total of 16 different projects.
